(SOUTHLAKE & KELLER, TX – November
2018) – pawTree®, a pet nutrition company based on
Southlake, has donated 300 bags of pet food to the Regional Animal Adoption
Shelter, located in Keller.
“At pawTree we’re dedicated to service,
including giving back to our communities,” notes Eric Uhtenwoldt, director of
operations for pawTree. “Our vision is to create a world where pets and their people
thrive. A key aspect to helping pets to thrive is providing access to healthy,
nutrient-dense food, so we’re honored to help provide nourishment to adoptable
dogs and cats in our community that help them do exactly that.”
As part of the donation, pawTree provided
the shelter with 200 10.3 pound bags of dry dog food and 100 5 pound bags of
dry cat food for a total of 2,560 pounds of food.
“We’re thrilled to receive the pawTree gift
of 300 bags of food for our dogs and cats. As we operate at, or near, capacity
at all times, our wish list for donations for food and supplies is always
great,” noted Michelle Watson, animal service supervisor with the City of
Keller. “It’s also satisfying to know that this donation comes from a company
headquartered in our own backyard.”
The Regional
Animal Adoption Center, managed by the Humane Society of North Texas, is located in
Keller at 330 Rufe Snow Drive and serves the cities of Keller, Southlake,
Colleyville, Westlake and Roanoke. The facility cares for more than 200 dogs
and 60 cats weekly.
